ioplus board not detected

Hi! I am having trouble getting my new ioplus board working on my pi. I have followed the instructions from the GitHub page:

https://github.com/SequentMicrosystems/ioplus-rpi#usage

and the build is fine:

# make install

[Compile] ioplus.c

[Compile] comm.c

[Compile] thread.c

[Link]

[Install]

Running a list fails:

ioplus -list

0 board(s) detected

I have ensured that I2C is enabled with raspi-config

Any tips?

Run the command :

sudo i2cdetect -y 1

Did you install the standoffs and tighten the screws?

Are you powering the boards from IO-PLUS or from Raspberry Pi?

Is the IO-PLUS LED blinking?

@mbeffa Yes, standoffs are tightened. I've tried both powering from the pi and the IO-plus with a 5v power supply.

There is a blinking LED on the IO-PLUS, maybe every second?

I see two possibilities. Bad IO-PLUS or bad contact on the 40 pin connector. 

First one is unlikely, we tested all the board. More so, if the LED is blinking the processor is running. 

Processor is the big IC with 48 pins.

If you have a meter, could you please check if 

Processor Pin 46 goes to Raspberry Pi GPIO Pin 3 (SDA)

Processor Pin 46 goes to Raspberry Pi GPIO Pin 5 (SCL)

 

We had before problems with connector contacts. Usually I solved them by sticking a few thin wires into the male part before inserting the connector. If this does not fixes it we'll send you a new board.

@mbeffa Thank you. I have three of these boards, and I tried two of them with the same result. I will try a new Pi and if that doesn't work, I'll get back on the pin levels.
