Multiple versions of User Guide - hardware differences?

  Hi,

  for some cards, like Home Automation HAT, there are multiple versions of User Guide, v3.0, v4.0 etc. 

  Any idea if these are for different version of the card or if the guide was just updated?

  The user guides follow the card version for the erlie hardware versions, but lately the hardware modification where not big enough to update the manual. The manual V4.0 will also cover the hardware revision 5.x.
