I'm a newbie so please excuse me if I'm asking a silly question. I have a 4-20ma output pressure transmitter and a 24VDC loop power supply connected to the 4-20ma input of a multiio V3.2 card (SKU: SM-I-021). I know the loop is working properly as I put an ammeter in the loop (while connected to the SM card) and it reads 4ma with no pressure applied and increases with pressure applied. I tried both 4-20ma inputs and get similar readings from the SM card of 7.xx - 8.xx with no pressure applied and no change when pressure is applied. When the loop power is turned off, the SM card readings go to zero. The SM board is being powered by the 5V supply connected to the RPI.
Just realized calibration is needed first. My bad, maybe somebody else can learn from my silliness!
