Is "inrd" command only for the opto isolated contact and not the dry contact ?
If I have the common and 10k open, and run "resrd" I can see the change by opening and shorting the 10k to common (jumper is 2-3)
Is there a command I am missing to swap it from 10k to dry contact ? I thought for the 16universal you had to make selection to change from 10k to dry contact.
The opto isolated works when I have the jumper in 1-2 and get feedback with the in1 light.
thanks!!
The "inrd" command will read both opto-isolated and dry contact. The resistor selection is made with a jumper, and the 10k and dry contact have the same jumper position.
I have not been able to get inrd to work with the dry contact. It works for the opto isolated. I swap the jumper and try the dry, I can not get a reading on dry. When it is jumpered for 2-3 "resrd" functions as you would expect from opening and closing. Behavior is the same on all 4 channels
These boards are v2.0 on FW 1.1
Not really a big deal on these, I can use the opto instead. I just found that when I was doing some testing for a project.
Are you sure you connected the dry contacts to the right contacts on the 3-pin connector?
The last is FW 1.5, you might consider updating the firmware: https://github.com/SequentMicrosystems/4rel4in-rpi/tree/main/update
Make sure no one accesses the I2C port during update, and if it fails before reach 100%, rerun it until complete
